This morning I am not well. It's weird actually saying that, because it's my mental health that is shot, however, for some reason I feel like that is my fault, that I am somehow in control of my mental state and that I should just "pull myself together", woman up and be "ok". Well this … Continue reading Help Wanted – warning bad language

This video has been put together by a fellow contaminated blood campaigner and friend of mine, Richard. It contains contributions from a number of friends, many of whom are tragically no longer with us.It is disturbing but essential viewing if you are interested in the unnecessary infection of thousands of bleeders like me, through our … Continue reading Betrayal and Lies — Please Share

Bleed Hazards

10th Sep 2010 / funnybleeder / Leave a comment

As a type 3 von Willebrand, life is like a box of chocolates. One which has been sabotaged by an ex lover and is filled with poisoned soft centres and pebble filled truffles which will break your teeth.Being a severe bleeder, activities which are undertaken without a second thought by a non bleeder, to me … Continue reading Bleed Hazards

I Am In Pain – so there!

15th Jun 201023rd Oct 2018 / funnybleeder / Leave a comment

I have had some good news today.Well, not exactly good news but I'm pleased nonetheless.I was referred for an M.R.I. on my ankle last time I saw my haemophilia specialist.  This may sound extreme but other than a cursory play with my foot whenever I saw him, and sometimes not even that, I had begun … Continue reading I Am In Pain – so there!

Who Am I?

This is a story of a girl named Ros. She was adopted as a baby and grew up with a severe bleeding disorder called von Willebrands disorder. Ros lives in Bewdley, Worcestershire and is recently separated from her husband and a Springer named Meg. She’s had a lot to deal with over the years and this is how she’s dealt with it. Or not. She especially likes writing about herself in the third person.
